Staff Spotlight: Allycia Andrews, Youth Program Director
I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Youth Program Director of Spring Forward! Working with children and youth has always been a true passion of mine. I began my journey at just 13 years old as a Counselor in Training, and from that moment on, I knew that supporting and mentoring young people was my calling.
I was born and raised in Rock Island, where I attended school from elementary through high school. I am a proud graduate of Rock Island High School. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Phoenix, continuing to invest in my growth as both an educator and a leader.
Throughout the years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow in a variety of meaningful roles. I worked with the Rock Island–Milan School District in the AVID program, beginning as a mentor and later serving as the Lead AVID Mentor. In that role, I supported students academically, fostered leadership skills, and helped them build confidence as they pursued their future goals. I also gained valuable classroom experience as a substitute teacher, which further strengthened my ability to connect with students of diverse ages and backgrounds.
Beyond my professional experience, I am a proud wife and mother to two beautiful girls who inspire me every day. Being both an educator and a parent has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for youth. I am truly honored and excited to serve our families and help our young people thrive at Spring Forward!
