Spring Forward Students Shine This School Year!
Spring Forward proudly celebrates the dedication and progress of more than 200 students who participated in After-School programs at Frances Willard, Longfellow, Rock Island Academy, Ridgewood, Rock Island Center for Math and Science, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center throughout the past school year.
Students who attended regularly benefited from over 60 additional hours of academic support in reading and math, led by Certified District Teachers. Beyond the classroom, they engaged in hands-on learning experiences with the support of 50+ community partners. These opportunities included visits to Augustana College’s “Augie Acres,” STEAM learning at Hauberg Estate, and Beginner Swim Lessons with RI Parks and Recreation.
A special shoutout goes to the Spring Forward 3rd grade students at Frances Willard, whose exceptional growth in math—measured by Spring MAP scores—earned them high honors. Their hard work and achievements were recognized by RIMSD Administrative staff with a special awards ceremony, where they proudly received certificates for securing the top spot among all RIMSD elementary schools in the “Meet or Exceed Math RIT Challenge.”
Congratulations to all students for their incredible effort and accomplishments this year! Your dedication and growth continue to inspire us all.
