Spring Forward Development and Program Manager

Title: Development and Program Manager 

Reports to: Executive Director 

Salary: Starting at $40,000; Please send salary requirements when applying 

Schedule: Full Time; 35 hours per week 

Position Overview 

The Development and Program Manager provides essential support for Spring Forward’s fundraising, program delivery and daily operations. This role combines critical development and administrative tasks with hands-on support in our after-school, intersession, and summer programs. The ideal candidate will be an organized, adaptable, intuitive and energetic team member who can seamlessly balance administrative responsibilities with active engagement in our program environments. 

Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities) 

Development & Fundraising Support 

  • Manage donor database (Bloomerang) upkeep, including data accuracy and timely gift entry 

  • Administer the gift acknowledgment process, including writing and sending thank-you letters and receipts. 

  • Develop, lead and execute a comprehensive corporate sponsorship strategy plan. 

  • Contribute to grant application process, including initial drafting and collaborative refinement 

  • Process donations and checks, ensuring all documentation is filed in accordance with organizational policies. 

  • Assist with communications, including: creating and writing fundraising appeals, newsletters, emails, social media and website content. 

  • Support comprehensive event logistics, including corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, attendee registration, and the coordination of vendors, volunteers, and auction/raffle items. 

  • Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective corporate partners to ensure long-term retention and engagement. 

  • Proactively maintain and expand a prospect list of businesses and community sponsors. 

  • Create and manage an outreach calendar to ensure timely and professional engagement with all potential sponsors. 

  • Work with the Marketing department to draft, design, and present compelling sponsorship materials tailored to specific organizational needs. 

  • Generate reports and track campaign progress, donor trends, and board updates. 

Program Support & Operations 

  • Assist in planning, developing, and implementing Spring Forward after-school, intersession, and summer programs. 

  • Work on-site at programs as requested, providing active support to staff, engaging with participants, and assisting with program activities. 

  • Coordinate supplies, resources, and materials needed for successful program execution. 

  • Maintain accurate participant registrations, attendance records and other documentation needed for grant reporting 

  • Support the development and identification of new program initiatives. 

General Professional Responsibilities 

  • Communicate positively, respectfully, and effectively at all times. 

  • Ability to contribute to and guide own duties in a workplan, meeting all stated deadlines. 

  • Participate in all required staff meetings and training opportunities. 

  • Follow and uphold all protocols as described in the Spring Forward Employee Handbook. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s mission. 

Skills/Knowledge Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 

  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace, AI, Canva, and Squarespace. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Experience with fundraising CRMs (Bloomerang) or willingness to learn. 

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities. 

  • Experience working with Students in a School or Program setting 

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding donor and staff information. 

  • Positive attitude, initiative, and adaptability to change. 

  • Must have the stamina to work in a fast-paced, energetic, and active environment. 

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
