Act Out Loud

Program Location: Rock Island Center for Math and Science

Experience the magic of the stage with the "Act Out Loud" Theater Workshop! Hosted by Journey Live Productions’ Curtis Lewis, this program is an opportunity for students to unleash their inner star. Dive into the world of theater with sessions focused on improv, storytelling, and self-expression. More than acting; it's a chance to build confidence, sharpen communication skills, and discover new ways to tell your story. Let your creativity shine as you learn to "Act Out Loud"!


The Braiding Blueprint

Program Location: Thomas Jefferson

Twist, braid, and create with the "Braiding Blueprint" workshop! Hosted by A'Jareem Beauty Bar’s Jamika Mayfield, Students will unlock the secrets to braiding with natural hair and extensions. They'll even write their own self-guidebook and create a short story about their unique hairstyle. It's the perfect mix of creativity, education, and pure fun!


Swimming Lessons with RI Parks and Rec

Program Location: Rock Island Center for Math and Science

Lessons are designed for BEGINNING swimmers. This program brings a focus to water safety and swim skills that are key to progressing into safe, confident swimmers. *Campers will need to wear proper swimming attire and have dry clothes to change into after lessons. Students are transported from RICMS to RIFAC by Spring Forward staff.


Soccer with RI Parks and Rec

Program Location: Thomas Jefferson

Get ready for a fun-filled week of soccer with Rock Island Parks and Recreation. This program is a chance for students to learn and practice fundamental moves, footwork, and learn how to work together as a team. Whether they're a future soccer star or just want to have some fun, this program will help students build confidence and make new friends while they play.
