Mix It, Mold It, Make It, Take It!
@ THOMAS JEFFERSON
Students will explore simple science concepts while mixing, molding, squishing, stretching, and creating their own projects. We’ll make homemade squishies, bouncy balls, Play-Doh, and slime, while learning new science vocabulary, observing changes, making predictions, and discovering how different ingredients and materials work together. We’ll end the week with a sweet treat to make and enjoy, celebrating a week of learning, experimenting, creating, and having fun!
Little Chefs, Big Flavors
@ EARL HANSON
Students will explore the fun of cooking while learning alongside “Chefy Bear on Wheels” about nutrition, healthy food choices, kitchen safety, measuring, and basic cooking skills. Through hands-on activities, they’ll discover how ingredients work together and how to make nutritious choices. We’ll also take a fun field trip to “Your Pie” for a special learning experience where students can explore the world of food and cooking. Throughout the week, students will create their very own cookbook filled with recipes to take home and enjoy with their families!
Swimming
@ EARL HANSON
Lessons are designed for BEGINNING swimmers. Swim Camp brings a focus to water safety and swim skills that are key to progressing into safe, confident swimmers. *Campers will need to wear proper swimming attire and have dry clothes to change into after lessons. Students are transported from EARL HANSON to RIFAC by Spring Forward staff.
Soccer
@ THOMAS JEFFERSON
Join Spring Forward and Rock Island Parks and Recreation for a fun-filled soccer workshop designed to help children learn, grow, and have fun on the field. Each day, students will spend the full two-hour session engaged in soccer activities, with scheduled breaks throughout. They will practice fundamental soccer skills, improve their footwork, and build confidence. Whether your child is a future soccer star or simply loves to play, this workshop is a great opportunity to stay active, build skills, make new friends, and have fun!
